Meghan Markle's Sheer Blouse and Floral Skirt Are Spring-Ready

Meghan Markle practically invented the "winter white" trend (see: the duchess's snow bunny OOTD and masterclass in wearing the alabaster hue), and now she's carrying over her favorite monochromatic fashion formula into a spring-ready ivory look, complete with a sheer blouse and (groundbreaking) floral maxiskirt.

On Mar. 21, Markle visited the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in a Easter-coded white transparent long-sleeve button-down top layered over a tank top and coordinating pleated skirt with a vibrant floral pattern. Markle accessorized with gold post earrings, a matching wrist watch, and dainty necklace. Her brown hair was worn down styled in loose curls and a middle part, and her simplistic makeup look featured a thick liner and fringed lashes. The finishing touch on her ensemble was a black N95 mask to presumably protect any immunocompromised kids.

During her time at the hospital, Markle partook in a "Literally Healing" story time as a part of the Make March Matter campaign. The duchess read books likes Rosie the Riveter, Pete the Cat, and I Saw a Cat to children and patients while also participating in STEAM activities related to each story. TheLiterally Healing reading program gifts over 65,000 families books each year to "promote literacy" and strengthen "patients’ families through additional therapeutic literary resources," according to a press release.

The annual Make March Matter initiative — along with the help of celebrities, businesses, and the community — raises money for the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in order to "provide sick and critically injured children with the best quality care."

Markle is no stranger to contributing her time and efforts to children- and family-focused causes. During last year's Invictus Games, Markle worked with the Fisher House Foundation — which "provides a home away from home for military and veteran families while their loved ones are hospitalized," per People —  to organize the Friends @ Home Event. More recently, Markle and Prince Harry visited Uvalde, Texas, to speak with a family of victim from the tragic May 2022 school shooting.
